Alchemy High Flora Plus is a food supplement in tablet form containing calcium, fructo-oligosaccharides, inulin, fennel, ginger and Enzi-mix®, a registered blend containing seven enzyme activities.

Calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes. FOS and inulin support the balance of the intestinal bacterial flora, while fennel and ginger support digestive function, regular gastrointestinal motility and the elimination of gas.

Before using it, understand its formula

There are five key groups of ingredients to know.

1. Calcium

Calcium is a mineral involved in several normal functions of the body.

In the High Flora Plus formula, it has a role directly connected with digestion: calcium contributes to the normal function of digestive enzymes.

Digestive enzymes are substances involved in the processes through which the different components of food are broken down.

The daily dose of two tablets provides 300 mg of calcium, equal to 37.5% of the Nutrient Reference Value.

2. FOS and inulin

FOS stands for fructo-oligosaccharides.

Fructo-oligosaccharides and inulin are substances used as prebiotic components.

They support the balance of the intestinal bacterial flora.

The daily dose of High Flora Plus provides:

• 230 mg of FOS;

• 200 mg of inulin.

3. Fennel

Fennel is a plant whose fruits are used.

High Flora Plus contains 160 mg of fennel dry extract, standardised to 0.5% essential oil.

“Dry extract” means that substances extracted from the plant have been concentrated and transformed into a powder.

“Standardised to 0.5% essential oil” means that the extract contains a defined and controlled amount of this component.

Fennel supports:

• digestive function;

• regular gastrointestinal motility;

• the elimination of gas.

4. Ginger

Ginger is a plant whose rhizome, or underground stem, is used.

High Flora Plus contains 40 mg of ginger dry extract, standardised to 5% gingerols.

“Standardised to 5% gingerols” means that the extract contains a defined and controlled amount of these characteristic ginger components.

Ginger supports:

• digestive function;

• regular gastrointestinal motility;

• the elimination of gas.

5. Enzi-mix®

Enzi-mix® is the registered name of the digestive enzyme blend contained in the formula.

Each daily dose provides 100 mg of Enzi-mix®, containing seven enzyme activities:

• amylase: 3,000 DU;

• protease: 6,000 HUT;

• glucoamylase: 4 AGU;

• lipase: 225 FCC FIP;

• cellulase: 600 CU;

• lactase: 1,000 ALU;

• pectinase: 14 endo-PGU.

DU, HUT, AGU, FCC FIP, CU, ALU and endo-PGU are the specific units used to express the activity of the different enzymes. They do not indicate their weight, but the declared level of enzyme activity.

The Enzi-mix® name precisely identifies the combination of enzymes used in the formulation.
